Gee back to full health for Cougars showdown

VICE-CAPTAIN Sammy Gee, Oldham RL Club's play-anywhere utility man, has shaken off the stomach bug that prevented him training on Tuesday.
In his third season at Whitebank, and playing his best rugby, Gee was back with the squad last night and is named among the 23 from whom Scott Naylor will choose his side for Sunday's top of the table showdown with Keighley Cougars.
"It's all the players I have – everybody's fit and everybody's in with a shout,” said the Roughyeds boss, who won’t announce his line-up until later.
He has given a broad hint, though, that players other than the 17 who were on duty in last week’s exhilarating 23-6 win at North Wales Crusaders should make sure their boots are ready by Sunday.
He added: “I very rarely play an unchanged team. I have an idea of what the side will be but, as ever, I’ll make final decisions tomorrow morning.”
Richard Lepori, back after nearly two years away, played at full-back in Wrexham last week and will be in line for his return to home soil in this biggest game of the season so far.
