Fans and Roughyeds chairman to meet again
Date published: 15 May 2015
A MEETING between Oldham RL supporters and club chairman Chris Hamilton proved “productive” and “positive” so another get-together has been confirmed for June 1.
A meeting had been requested with the Roughyeds chief to address several issues, including the location of the ground and lack of facilities, the shortage of regular communication between club and fans, the lack of an effective club website and use of social media, the lack of a supporters’ trust and a lack of clarity on the club’s overall financial position.
That first meeting brought general agreement between the two sides.
A detailed agenda for the next meeting hasn’t been set, though Mr Hamilton will report on progress with stadium development and the communications plan. Closer working with the Supporter’s Trust and the possibility of supporter ownership will also be explored in more detail.
