HUGO CORNWELL: Uppermill date
MUSIC EXTRA: HUGH Cornwell is one of the UK’s finest songwriting talents and accomplished live performers, and he’s coming to town next month.
As the original guitarist, singer and chief songwriter in punk forerunners the Stranglers, Cornwell has achieved massive success since the late 1970s with 10 hit albums and 21 Top 40 singles.
Now divorced from the legendary Stranglers, Cornwell has recently released his latest solo album, “Totem and Taboo”.
Recorded at the Electrical Audio Studios in Chicago, and mixed and engineered by famed producer Steve Albini, the album has received rave reviews.
Hugh will play at Uppermill Civic Hall on August 27. Tickets: www.thegigcartel.com/gigs/gig:3093.
