Driven off

RAIDERS who broke into a house in Ashton Road West snatched the keys and drove off in a VW Golf.

The car was later recovered on Cartmel Crescent in Chadderton. Two bikes were also stolen from a garage on the same road.

In another incident a house was broken into on Silverbirch Way, Failsworth, and a set of car keys stolen.


A CAR was broken into at the Hollinwood Business Park’s car park on Albert Street last Tuesday night.


RAIDERS stole four saddles among other items from stables on Millstream Lane last Wednesday.


TWO cars had bricks thrown through their windows last Tuesday night. The grey Nissan Micra was on Paddock Lane and the blue Saab was on Somerset Road.


A 49-year-old man was stopped by police on Friday morning for drink-driving. He was breath tested on Manchester Road and provided a positive sample.
