WE ARE all in it together — that is the message being broadcast by Athletic boss Darren Kelly, ahead of his second meet-the-fans event.
Trust Oldham is putting on a question-and-answer session with Kelly at the Railway Hotel, Royton, on Thursday, September 10 (7.30pm to 10pm).
Athletic’s manager last held an open forum in mid-May, shortly after taking the main job at SportsDirect.com Park.
In his first role in management, Kelly is unbeaten in the league to date while accepting that there is plenty of work to be done to improve the team.
Now, he is prepared to face the questions posed by supporters as he tries to maintain the close relationship between fans and the players and staff at the club.
“When I first came into the job I mentioned it is something I must do,” Kelly said, when asked how he felt about such events.
“Rightly so, because supporters were wondering, ‘who is this guy and what is he about?’
“I think it is also important now to do it throughout the season.”
Tickets are available for the evening from the Railway Hotel or by calling Richard on 07720849866.
