Tram park & ride expansion boost

COMMUTERS at the Shaw and Crompton Metrolink stop could soon benefit from extra parking spaces

The 50 spaces will be on the former Talentum building site. Plans will go before the planning committee in February and if approved, work will be completed by September.

From around 8.30am each day the current park and ride area is almost full. Oldham Council agreed last year to acquire the former Talentum building to support the parking plan. Land on the opposite side of the River Beal was acquired to provide more space for future expansion.
