That’s that sorted

THE Royal Mail’s Failsworth delivery office will close its doors for good on October 22 — but without compulsory redundancies.
All services, and 20 staff, will relocate to Oldham’s Hamilton Street depot. Failsworth residents will need to travel there to collect undeliverable items.
Adrian Fielding, Royal Mail’s delivery director, said: “We appreciate that this move will impact on customers in the area. Almost no other company has daily contact with its customers in the way Royal Mail does.
“The relocation of Failsworth is part of our modernisation programme and will help us place the business on a sound footing. Customers in Failsworth can be reassured that we will do all we can to minimise disruption.”
