WANTED . . . an E-fit of the “toothless cyclist”
Sex pest on a bike terrifies women
POLICE are hunting a “toothless cyclist” who sexually assaulted two women in Oldham within minutes.
They have released an E-fit and hope the distinct description will help track down the sex pest who left the young women shocked and shaken.
He struck at 1pm on Tuesday, November 3, when an 18-year-old woman was walking along Kings Road, next to Alexandra Park.
Cycling along, he bumped into her and touched her bottom. She asked him to go away, but he followed, grabbed her by the shoulder and tried to put his hand down her jumper. The woman screamed and pushed him away but he tried to pull her into the park. She eventually managed to struggle free, called the police and the offender cycled off.
At 1.25pm, a 26-year-old woman was walking along Keswick Avenue, towards Fitton Hill post office, when the suspect began cycling alongside her.
He put his hand on her lips, touched his chest and appeared to be indicating that he wanted to kiss her. The woman walked off and he followed, got off his bike and touched her bottom.
She crossed the road to get away and the man got back on his bike and started circling the victim.
He then rode at her with full force and the woman had to grab the handlebars to stop him from hitting her. The offender rode over her foot before cycling off, waving as he left.
The offender is described as eastern European, aged about 29, 5ft 9in to 6ft tall, of slim build with short dark gelled hair. He had missing front teeth and a small segment shaved out of his right eyebrow.
PC Juan Sanchez-Pan, based at Oldham Police Station, said: “The assaults were a horrible experience and the man’s general demeanour was extremely unnerving.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161-856 8927.
