Pro-life rally outside college
Date published: 20 March 2009
Pro-life campaigners will be urging Oldham people to see the reality of abortion at a rally in the town centre next month.
Supporters of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) will form a chain, standing at intervals holding placards. The Pro-life Chain event will be held from 11am till 1 pm, marking 41 years since the implementation of the Abortion Act.
It came into effect on April 27, 1968. Since then, there have been more than six million registered abortions in Britain.
The SPUC supporters will be outside Oldham College, Rochdale Road, on April 25.
