Latics boss John Sheridan
Striker Hallam Hope notched a 95th-minute winner last night (Friday) as Latics eased to a 2-1 National League victory at home against Aldershot.
The three points lifted John Sheridan's side up into 10th place in the table ahead of Monday's trip to York City.
The home side opened the scoring in the 20th minute when captain Dan Gardner collected a loose ball and fired a shot into the bottom corner.
The Shots equalised just five minutes later as former Motherwell man Justin Amaluzor found the top corner with a shot from the edge of the area.
But just as the game looked certain to end in a draw, Hope latched on to a ball from midfield and slotted home the winner.
