Independent Latics supporters group 'Push the Boundary' have reached out to club legends and Oldham stars of stage and screen to help get the vital message out about staying at home, protecting the NHS and saving lives during the ongoing Coronavirus crisis.

Danny Taylor, who set up Push the Boundary last year alongside Will Gough, Steve Shipman and Adam Keeley, told us: "The idea came about due to the seriousness of the Covid-19 outbreak and it being so dominant in all people’s lives at present.

"We felt that we needed to get the message across to Oldham Athletic supporters to stay at home to ensure we protect the NHS and the amazing work they do along with all other key workers working tirelessly to keep the country going.

"We wanted to try and do this via ex players, managers and celebrities.

"We have had a tremendous response from many club legends and popular players/staff which has been fantastic.

"We also decided to branch out to celebrities and managed to get a great mix including an Olympic Gold Medallist, a Coronation Street actress and of course an actor from Only Fools and Horses.

"They were more than happy to help get the important message out and to boost the spirits of Latics supporters."
