Coronavirus: Latics players sticking to their workouts

Latics players and their team manager Dino Maamria are keeping as busy as possible during the current Coronavirus lockdown.

In these unprecedented times at the Boundary Park club - Latics haven't played since a 3-0 loss at Crawley Town on March 7 - the staff, players and coach's are staying to stay as positive as possible, and that means by keeping the players active too.

"We've been giving the players a programme to work to on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays," said boss Maamria.

"I made sure I completed every one of them as I tried to compete with the slower ones!

"I'm not doing very well so far - the players are taking the mickey out of me.

"My times are not as good as theirs, but I'm sure I'll catch up with them.

"We are in close communication with one another throughout this and we're making sure we look after one another.

"As for the town of Oldham, I just want us all to make sure our neighbours are fine, we make sure we listen to the guidelines from the Government, and I'm confident we'll come through this stronger than ever before.

"I'm looking forward to seeing all the fans very soon - take care." 

As it stand the EFL is currently out of action until April 30 at the earliest.
