An evening of discovery in prospect at Radclyffe School

Date published: 10 September 2018

Students and staff at The Radclyffe School in Chadderton will be showing off their outstanding school later this month, welcoming Year 6 pupils and their parents and carers to the Hunt Lane site.

Children in local primary schools are receiving their personal invitations to the event, which takes place on Wednesday, September 26, with doors open from 5pm til 8pm.

An evening of discovery is promised across all of the school’s faculties.

Visitors will get a ‘hands on’ experience of everything from computers to creating art, cutting-edge technology to first-rate sports equipment.

They will see for themselves the excellent facilities and hear, from students as well as teachers, about the outstanding teaching and learning that students enjoy.

Head Teacher Hardial Hayer said: “We take each new student on a learning journey of excellence, in every area of school life, by our outstanding and inspiring staff.

"’The Radclyffe Way’ is about saying to our students, tell us your dreams and we will help you fulfil them, there is no ceiling to your ambitions here.”

Recognising that transferring to secondary school can be a daunting experience, the school ensures that there is a seamless transition through excellent relationships with local primary schools.

Mr Hayer added: “An essential part of enabling students to excel is our partnership with their parents, assuring high standards are expected and maintained – this is summed up in the school’s mission statement ‘Working Together for Excellence’.”
