Date published: 27 September 2018

E-ACT Royton and Crompton Academy, who recently joined the Multi-Academy Trust, E-ACT, are celebrating being named the most improved school in Oldham according to the Progress 8 measure.

This year, E-ACT Royton and Crompton Academy celebrated excellent GCSE results, including 68% of students achieving grade 4 or above in English and 52% at grade 5.

Grade 9s were awarded in all three core subjects – English, mathematics and science and A* grades awarded in child care, sociology and health and social care.

The exciting times at the Academy continue as works on the new school building progress, which is due to open in September 2019.

The academy is opening its doors on Thursday, October 4, between 5pm-8pm for their annual open evening and invites all Year 6 students and their families to see the recent changes for themselves, which are providing students with the best possible opportunities to succeed.
