Notice of Environmental Impact Assessment Application

Peak District National Park Authority

Proposal: Infill of a disused quarry pond by regrading land and creating heathland and wetland habitats.

Applicants Name/Organisation: Mr. R. Howard, Meltham Shooting Club.

Date Received: 07/03/2023.

Site Address: Wessenden Head Road, Meltham.

This application is being advertised as it is considered to be Major Development, EIA development and affect Public Rights of Way. The proposed development represents a potential departure from the adopted development plan relevant to the area, in which the land to which the application relates is situated.

Physical copies of the Application documents are available for reference at Aldern House and at Meltham Library, Carlile Institute, 54 Huddersfield Road, Meltham, HD9 4AG during their opening hours (Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays 10am-2pm, Tuesdays 1pm-5pm, Thursdays 1.30pm-5.30pm, closed Wednesdays and Sundays) until 31st May 2023.

A copy has been sent to the District / Borough council and the Parish council / meeting for comment.
