Popular Little French Cinema returns to Oldham next week

The Little French Cinema's popular annual series of films opens with the now customary wine and cheese reception on Thursday week, March 28 from 6.15pm in the Performance Space of Oldham Library.

This season organisers are offering six films ranging from the historical to the classic.

The first film is La fille du Puisatier, (The Well Digger's Daughter) directed and starring Daniel Auteuil.

Screening starts at 7pm, no adverts and no trailers:

La Fille du Puisatier: The Well Digger’s Daughter

(Drama/Romance, 2011) PG, 1hr 47mins

Adapted from a novel by Marcel Pagnol and starring Daniel Auteuil, the story is set in the south of France at the start of WWII.

Patricia, the youngest of the well digger’s daughters is being courted by his middle-aged mate Felipe but she is captivated by Jacques, an unreliable younger man from an upwardly mobile bourgeois family.
