Ahmadiyya volunteers head out to deliver much-needed food parcels

Oldham's Ahmadiyya Muslim Community sacrificed their Eid celebration time in order to deliver food parcels to local vulnerable people. 

Members from the Oldham branch of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community helped Manchester City Council's relief efforts in delivering parcels after collecting items from the New Smithfield Market.

An Oldham branch spokesperson said: "As we were passing Eid celebration time, members felt urged to help those in difficult times so everyone in the community can stay safe and well. 

"As Ahmadi Muslims we feel passionately about the wellbeing of our communities.

"Our Desire and Faith is to serve fellow human beings.

"Eid is the best time to share happiness and peace.

"Islam teaches us to perform good deeds to fellow human beings, especially in festive times, so everyone in our community can feel peace and happiness."
