Hopwood Hall College to host fun day

Date published: 09 May 2019

Hopwood Hall college will soon be hosting it's annual free community fun day for families on Saturday the 18th May.

The fun day will run between 11am and 3pm at Hopwood Hall's Middleton campus.

The college will open it's doors and welcome guests to petting zoos, sports games, child play areas, food stalls, face painting and many more.

Last year’s family-orientated event saw temperatures close to 30c and over 1200 people in attendance. The College’s Principal, Julia Heap, hopes similar numbers of people will make use of the free event this year,

“Usually we joke about the typical wet Greater Manchester weather dampening the atmosphere at the previous year’s Community Fun Day. However last year was as perfect as it could be and we loved welcoming so many members of the community into our college.

The event is a great opportunity for us to meet members of our wider community and for them to meet everybody here at the College; staff, students, reptiles, mammals and insects alike.

Thankfully this year the royal family have refrained from organising any weddings and England aren’t bringing it home, so there are no excuses to not attend!”
