Generous shoppers and staff at Morrisons Chadderton have helped raise hundreds of pounds for Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal.

The terminal illness charity’s fundraising appeal which is held every March, calls on people to donate and wear one of the charity’s daffodil pins to help fund vital care and support for people living with a terminal illness.

Collections held at Morrisons Chadderton store on Tweedale Way from 28th February to 2nd March raised over £880 and the money raised will enable Marie Curie to care for more people living with a terminal illness, and their families.

Lynn Partridge, Marie Curie Community Fundraiser in Oldham said: “We are so grateful for the amazing support from all the staff, shoppers and volunteers at Morrisons. Their generosity means we raised a fantastic amount and more people are wearing daffodils. Too many people don’t get the care and support they need at the end of their lives, but together we can change that.”
