Councillor Shadab Qumer receives his Mayor's Appeal cheque from Bilal Jamia Mosque members
Mayor's Appeal donations raised at Bilal Jamia Mosque in Clarksfield were handed over at a special event held at the Ronald Street site.
In attendance were the Mayor, Councillor Shadab Qumer, Mosque Imams, members of the Mosque Management committee and members of the congregation.
A total of £700 was raised towards the Appeal.
The Mosque has been helping with raising funds for the Mayor's Appeals for a number of years.
The appeal for Maggie's Oldham, which helps all affected by cancer, is particularly close to the hearts of the local congregation as many of them have lost loved ones to the disease and many local residents have still got loved ones who are struggling with it.
Bilal Jamia Mosque committee members would like to say a big thank you to all the congregation who donated towards this wonderful cause.
