Isaan Gym pair Connor Shaw and Anthony Hamer did their Oldham club proud at the MuayThai Supershow in Barnsley.

Billed as comfortably the best and highest profile junior MuayThai show in the UK, Connor and Anthony grabbed their big opportunities with both hands.

Thirteen-year-old Waterhead Academy pupil Connor fought opponent Huey from MSA Stockport in a 57kg contest for the vacant WTKA English title.

Connor produced a fantastic performance and scored well, controlling all five rounds.

He won via unanimous decision to win the prestigious title.

Oasis Academy North pupil Anthony (also 13) fought in a 53kg rematch against Logan from the Black Diamond Gym In Scotland.

The pair met last year but the judges couldn’t separate them, so the fight was declared a draw.

This time, however, Anthony fought superbly, kicking and scoring well with his knees to take the win via unanimous decision.

This was a big win for Anthony as Logan is the current UK number one at 52kg.

Delighted Isaan Gym head coach Stephen Donnelly said: “I’m hugely proud of Connor and Anthony.

“The production line at isaan Gym just keeps growing.

“We are producing some outstanding fighters right now.”
