Hard-hitting international professional wrestling action is coming to Oldham next weekend.

The Squared Circle Academy, which is based in Royton and features wrestlers guided and trained by former World of Sport TV champion Marty Jones, is putting on a special family show at the Cotton Rooms in Oldham town centre on Friday week, November 9.

Stars from around the world will feature on the show.

They include WWE next UK favourite Saxon Huxley, WWE trialist Kevin Lloyd and a host of up-and-coming students from the Squared Circle Academy.

The first bout gets under way at 7pm.

Ringside tickets cost just £8, with general admission setting you back only a fiver.

A few tickets will be available on the door on the night, but to reserve yours in advance, call 07751 978593.

Marty, who is now in his 60s, is famed for his classic ITV bouts from the 1970s and 1980s against Marc ‘Rollerball’ Rocco, Dave ‘Fit’ Finlay and Owen Hart.

He has trained WWE superstar and NXT general manager William Regal, a former Intercontinental and world tag team champion, and more recently, former Salford rugby star Luke Menzies, who joined WWE earlier in the year.

Marty said: “These local shows are a great way to see the up and coming talent.

“It is lining up to be a show not to be missed.”
