Oldham official Robert Hicks has been selected to referee tomorrow's Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford.

Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors will go head-to-head (6pm kick-off) in a repeat of the 2016 showpiece, which Hicks also referee'd.

Richard Thompson and Chris Kendall have been appointed tough judges, with Ben Thaler as video referee.

Gareth Hewer has been appointed as reserve referee, with Marcus Griffiths as reserve tough judge.

Former Hulme School pupil Hicks, who took charge of the Challenge Cup Final at Wembley between Warrington Wolves and Catalans Dragons earlier this year, has officiated at all levels of the game over the past eight years, including Betfred Super League, Championship and League 1 games.

He also has a wealth of international experience, taking charge of a Australia v France in the group stage games of the RL World Cup 2017 and officiating as touch judge for a number of other games including the semi-final between Tonga and England in Auckland, New Zealand.

Hicks, son of former Three Crowns pub landlord Ray Hicks and Saddleworth Rangers’ club treasurer Karen Thompson, will be the man in the middle as the rugby league season reaches its climax.
