Oldham outfit wins Expansion and Growth prize in FSB regional awards

An Oldham outfit is among four Greater Manchester-based businesses who are celebrating after walking away with trophies in a leading awards scheme run by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).

Businesses from across the City Region were among the 12 regional winners shortlisted in the FSB North West Celebrating Small Business Awards 2024, and each now goes forward into May’s national finals.

Oldham’s Technology Powered Services Ltd picked up the Expansion and  Growth Award, Dotty About Braille in Stalybridge scooped the Diversity and Inclusion Award, Chris Smith from Wigan was crowned Self-Employed/Freelancer of the Year Award, while Bolton-based energy company, Box Power CIC, won the Service Excellence Award for the second year running.

FSB North West Chair, Holly Bonfield, said: “Congratulations to all this year’s winners.

"They are reflective of the vibrant and innovative firms that make up our small business community here in the North West.

“It’s been thrilling to see so many businesses take part in our awards, and the sheer scale and diversity of those who entered is a testimony to the vitality of the small business community in our region.

The FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards celebrate the best small businesses from the length and breadth of the country, offering national recognition for those who have made the biggest impression over the past 12 months.

Finalists across 12 areas now proceed to the national UK finals taking place at a VIP attended awards ceremony on Thursday, May 9 at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens.

The North West winners included:
