Enterprise Oldham Expo opening by Frank Rothwell
This years event held yesterday (8/9/22) at the Eastern Pavillion, Featherstall Rd was attended by 120 exhibitors with hundreds of visitors over the day creating a very positive business buzz.
The event was opened by Frank Rothwell the business ambassador for Oldham and the new owner of Oldham Athletic FC.
This year, there was a dedicated zone for new entrepreneurs who have just started a new business as well as a women only zone.
Seminars during the day included ones for those who's businesses that are classed as social enterprises, offering more information and details on the new 'The Proper Good Loan Fund' that is being made available for Oldham social enterprises to apply for.
Organisers were once again pleased with the variety of businesses attending both as exhibitors and visitors, representing a strong mixture of diversity from across the borough.
Finally, certificates were awarded to a group of women who participated and started businesses within the new entrepreneurs programme over the past 12 months - the programme was hosted by Upturn and sponsored NatWest. The certificates were handed to the women by Dr Nigat Awan.
