Oldham outfit lights up the Grace Cathedral in San Francisco

Oldham-based Innovation LED have just completed an amazing project to light up a San Francisco cathedral.

"We turned some lights on and found a Cathedral," was leading US lighting designer Greg Persinger's comment after the inaugural switch-on of the new lighting scheme at Grace Cathedral, San Francisco.

"You honestly would not believe how different it feels."

That's some compliment for the team at Innovation LED, who are based at the Meridian Business Centre in central Oldham.

The landmark cathedral, once presided over by the great-grandfather of George Bush, is the latest co-operation between Mr Persinger and Oldham-based lighting manufacturers, whose technical director, Dr James Powell, designed the Montano range of lights used in the Stateside project.

Commenting on the success of the Cathedral scheme, Dr Powell said: "We've lit several prominent American buildings in association with Greg and the Montano is a well-proven product at Grace Cathedral.

"It sits within our extensive range of lights suitable for both external and internal use."
