Young people in Oldham can enjoy discounted leisure opportunities

Date published: 25 October 2023

With sixth form and college now in full swing, it’s important for young people to make sure that they are also taking the time to relax as well as study.

An Our Pass membership gives young people independence to easily access work, training, education, and leisure opportunities throughout the Greater Manchester region.

In Oldham and beyond, there are lots of great offers for young people to take advantage of with their Our Pass, including a free taster session at Oldham Boxing and the chance to win free tickets for the Hallé Orchestra, and with free or discounted travel this couldn’t be easier.

Olivia, an Our Pass Member, said: “It opens up so many doors for you.

"You can not only save money, but also get anywhere you want, with anyone you want – so make sure your friends apply as well so you can travel in a group.

“You can get to town and go to a restaurant with your friends – it helps you socialise as well, which is really good.”

Our Pass is a membership scheme for young people who live in Greater Manchester and supports both school leavers, who are in years 12 and 13 or equivalent, and care leavers up to the age of 21.

Almost 50,000 young people have already signed up to Our Pass, unlocking free and discounted travel and leisure opportunities across the region.
