Twenty face court following Tommy Robinson event disturbances

Twenty people have been charged following a large scale disturbance in Oldham in May, 2019.

On Saturday May 18, 2019 during a planned Tommy Robinson campaign event in Oldham, officers responded to a disturbance in the Limeside area.  

A number of objects were thrown and damage was caused to police vehicles.

The following have been charged with violent disorder and will appear at Tameside Magistrates’ Court on March 5 and March 19, 2020 respectively.

March 5

Atiq Urrehman (25) Edilom Road, Crumpsall, Manchester.

Faraz Ahmed (32) of Fredrick Street, Oldham.

Majid Khan (30) Worcester Street, Oldham.

Salman Ahmed of (21) of Tamworth Street, Oldham.

Mohammed Zeeshauan Khan (21) of Cotton Mill Crescent, Oldham.

Kamran Ali (27) of Savoy Street, Oldham.

Abdul Nazir (27) of Hardy Street, Oldham.

Rahim Ahmed (25) of Bankside Close, Oldham.

Amann Ul Haq (19) of Frederick Street, Oldham.

March 19

Matthew Henry (25) of Alder Road, Oldham.

Dillan Simpson (19) of Southcroft Street, Oldham.

Jayden Mack, of Parkfield Avenue, Oldham (now turned 18 years old).

Duane Coleman (33) of Huntley Way, Rochdale.

Luke Tucker (19) of Napier Street, Oldham.

Two boys both aged 16 years who cannot be named for legal reasons.
