Police have closed Henshaw Street
Police have closed a road near Oldham town centre after a van overturned at around lunchtime today (Thursday 18th July).
It’s happened on Henshaw Street, close to Best One shop on the corner and the junction with Sunfield Road, the road has been blocked while officers try to clear the vehicle from the scene.
Police have put a cordon up surrounding the scene.
The Oldham Chronicle understands the driver of the van lost control, smashing into a nearby fence causing damage to the that and the van itself.
They’re haven’t been any reports of any injuries so far with the road expected to reopen as soon as the van has been removed.
More to follow.
