Oldham College celebrates creative success

Date published: 18 June 2019

Hundreds of visitors flocked to the annual Creative Exhibition at Oldham College on Thursday night to experience the sights and sounds of their students’ end-of-year project work.

Students from the Digital and Creative Faculty have been working tirelessly on their final major projects since February, where they have been researching, planning, and creating a final outcome in their chosen subject area.

An exciting array of art, design, fashion, media, games, and photography pieces were showcased at the event. Visitors were invited to view, and even interact, with some of the displays.

Decorated outfits, thought provoking photography, and immersive game environments were amongst the many exhibits that visitors could expect to see and explore on the evening, along with eye-catching artwork and cinematic promotional films.

Head of Faculty Joanne Manship was extremely proud of how well the students have performed this year and was pleased with the success of the event.

“The students have worked really hard to create an exhibition of such a high standard. The evening gave our students the opportunity to present their work professionally and discuss their final project work with family, friends, and visitors.

We are very proud of our students’ accomplishments and this year they are predicted to achieve grades well above national standards.”

The students who took part in the event are now preparing for their next exciting step, at either university, an apprenticeship, or straight into employment.
