Coliseum's ugly sisters are one of the country's best

Two panto performers from the Oldham Coliseum have been nominated for a national award.

Fine Time Fontayne and Simeon Truby have been recognised by the Great British Pantomime Awards - the industry recognised awards for celebrating the best of this British theatrical institution.

The pair have been nominated for "Best Ugly Sisters" for their performances as Pumpy and Trumpy Squeezepocket in the Coliseum’s 2018-19 pantomime Cinderella.

The nominations and awards are chosen by a panel of judges and the award ceremony will be hosted by pantomime legend Christopher Biggins.

Fine Time Fontayne (Pumpy Squeezepocket) was the Coliseum’s Pantomime Dame from 2008-2018, missing only one year due to a broken ankle.

Fine Time is also the co-writer of the Coliseum’s annual pantomime and, despite hanging up his heels at the end of the run of Cinderella, he will be continuing to co-write the pantomime and is working on the script for 2019-2020’s Jack and the Beanstalk with Acting Artistic Director Chris Lawson.

The ceremony is this Sunday evening at the New Wimbledon Theatre in London.
