One man from West Yorkshire has been told he’ll spend more than 14-years behind bars after subjecting his victim to a ‘prolonged and terrifying’ attack on Saddleworth Moor including repeatedly raping her.

55-year old Malcolm Lockwood, from Huddersfield, attacked the woman, leaving her in ‘genuine fear of her life’ after following her into woodland in West Yorkshire before punching her in the face and then bundling her into his car.

He drove along the M62 to Saddleworth Moor, eventually ending up in Delph, where he launched the sex attacks back in May 2018.

Lockwood denied multiple charges of rape, one of sexual assault, kidnap, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and threatening to kill, but was found guilty by a jury at Leeds Crown Court.

The court was told the 55-year old threatened to kill his victim on several occasions during the ordeal and repeatedly punched her in the face before taking her phone and forcing her into the car.

He would then drive his victim around moorland before parking up on an isolated lane in Delph and raping the woman.

After being found guilty of the charges, Lockwood was sent to prison for 14-years and six months.
