Local toy appeal makes a real difference at Mahdlo

A local business has delivered sacks full of gifts for Mahdlo members to give them a Christmas they'll never forget.

The team at Oldham Chiropractic and Physiotherapy called into Mahdlo Youth Zone in December with toys and gifts donated at their annual appeal.

All the presents were donated by customers, who instead of paying for their treatment at the clinic brought a gift that would make a difference this Christmas to a young person. Gifts included Lego sets, tablet computers, perfume, gift sets and books. Gifts were distributed to members who were recognised for their successes and achievements as well as their passion and enthusiasm for Mahdlo.

Sam Jobey, Practice Manager at Oldham Chiropractic Clinic told the Chronicle “We have been holding our Toy Appeal for the last 12 years, it’s something our guests look forward to and we even have drop in gifts for those not visiting clinic that day, week or even month. We are extremely proud of what the team and guests have donated for such a great cause, it shows how tight our community really is. Mahdlo is an outstanding charity and we will continue to support them wherever possible.”

Claire Crossfield, Development Manager at Mahdlo said “We want to say a huge thanks to Sam and the team at Oldham Chiropractic Clinic for making this a very memorable Christmas for our young people. This is a really innovative way to support Mahdlo.  We were blown away by the generosity of their customers and our young people were delighted with their gifts. The difference you’ve all made is something we cannot put into words.”
