HARD working duo Oumare Tounkara and man-of-the-match Ritchie Jones received praise from boss Paul Dickov for their efforts against Notts County.
Both men impressed in the 3-0 home defeat which helped set up a npower League One top-of-the-table clash with Charlton on Saturday.
On-loan French striker Tounkara put in plenty of graft and showed surprising finesse in firing home the home team’s second goal of the afternoon.
Jones, meanwhile, set up a number of attacks with his energetic running and constantly used the ball intelligently.
“It was a fantastic finish from Oumare and it showed what he is about — power and pace,” Dickov said.
“He will get better. That is only his second professional game and he is still a bit raw.
“Ritchie was excellent. The amount of work he does for the team, along with Lewis Alessandra, was great.
“Ritchie has quality on the ball but he has a great engine too and is a fit, fit boy.
“He was excellent, but I thought they all were.
“It is about the team. Not every individual can play well every week and if someone isn’t, they have to put in hard work for the team and that doesn’t go unnoticed by me.”
